Moving from your lap to ours<\/em><\/h1>\n

We receive regular calls and emails regarding the surrender of stray, feral or cats that were “dumped” on properties.\u00a0 We are a re-homing organization.\u00a0 We focus on re-homing well-established and sociable family pets.\u00a0 The health and well being of our guests is our top priority.\u00a0 We will NOT introduce unknown illnesses and diseases into our sanctuary by accepting guests whose health is questionable.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Because we are a small private sanctuary and receive no public funding or taxpayer support, we are and can be selective.\u00a0 <\/b><\/h1>\n

WE ARE FULL<\/span><\/p>\n

When we do have openings, here are the<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

guidelines for surrender.<\/b><\/span><\/h1>\n

  • We cannot accept feral or stray cats.<\/li>\n
  • Unfortunately, we do not accept kittens under 4 months old.<\/li>\n
  • We cannot accept cats that were “dumped” on your property.\u00a0 We will not<\/span><\/strong><\/em> risk the health of our guests by introducing unknown diseases or health issues.<\/li>\n
  • We are not veterinarians.\u00a0 We cannot accept injured or sick cats.<\/li>\n
  • We cannot accept pregnant cats or nursing mothers and their kittens.<\/li>\n
  • We have never had great success placing senior cats over 10 years of age.\u00a0 For this reason, we cannot accept them.<\/li>\n
  • Overweight cats may require a higher surrender fee.<\/li>\n
  • Arkansas State laws requires any cat in our sanctuary over three months of age to be spayed or neutered and have a current rabies shot.<\/span>\u00a0 We do play by the rules.\u00a0 We MUST have this documentation from a licensed veterinarian.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Because our sanctuary is totally cage free, any new guest must be non-aggressive, friendly towards other cats and well socialized with people.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    A Cage-free sanctuary with a NO-KILL guarantee is an expensive endeavor.<\/b><\/p>\n

    \u00a0Surrender Fees
    \n<\/b><\/h2>\n

    WE DO NOT TAKE CREDIT CARDS<\/span><\/h1>\n
      \n
    • Senior cats over 10 years:\u00a0 $200 with a recent health certificate.<\/li>\n
    • Adult cats (9 months to 8 years old) that have been spayed or neutered<\/span>:\u00a0 $125<\/li>\n
    • Young cats between 6 months and 9 months:\u00a0 $75<\/li>\n
    • Kittens that are 6 months old:\u00a0 $60<\/li>\n
    • Kittens between 3 and 6 months:\u00a0 $40<\/li>\n
    • Our limited space and resources prevent us from accepting kittens less than 3 months of age.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      We reserve the right to return any cat or kitten if we find it to be aggressive, overly shy or not socializing well with our other guests.\u00a0 80% of the surrender fee will be refunded.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n

      \u00a0The Blue Moon Difference<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Many publicly funded shelters may not allow you past their intake desk.\u00a0 We welcome guests and visitors.\u00a0 When you surrender your cat to our sanctuary, you are more than welcome to inspect every inch of our facility.\u00a0 We are totally cage-free.<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0 Ask questions.\u00a0 Look around.\u00a0 If for any reason you are not comfortable with what you see, there is no obligation.<\/p>\n

      After you surrender your cat to us, we accept full responsibility.\u00a0 Your surrender fee covers any and all medical needs and costs, updated rabies shots, vaccinations, de-worming, flea and ear mite treatment, veterinarian visits, surgeries, and any diagnostic tests and medical treatments necessary until they are adopted.\u00a0 All of our guests are fed premium food.\u00a0 Our shelter is cleaned and sterilized daily.\u00a0 Our sanctuary is very warm in winter and totally air-conditioned in summer. \u00a0No guest is ever let outside.<\/p>\n

      Every guest is given very personal one-on-one attention.\u00a0 We carry them, hold them, sing to them and play games with them.\u00a0 Your cat moves from your lap to ours.
